The unique features and differences in food around the world reflect the culture of each place. We know some of the world's top restaurants. These restaurants will have your mouth watering from the moment you enter. Let's begin our culinary (烹饪的) journey… Osteria Francescana, Modena, Italy This three-Michelin-star restaurant is rooted in Italian tradition and true Italian culinary art. There are only twelve tables in the restaurant. The restaurant, from tablecloths to the artwork and atmosphere, has been carefully constructed to add and create an experience unlike any other. The twelve-course tasting menu and wine pairing will transport you into an Italian dream; however, single courses are available, too. From the five ages of Parmigiano Reggiano to tortellini, ox rib eye or lobster in a double sauce, you will enjoy your visit. El Celler de Can Roca, Girona, Spain This restaurant, opened by the Roca brothers, holds three Michelin stars and has held its place as the second-best restaurant in the world four times and was ranked the best once. With a wine cellar (酒窖) of 60,000 bottles and traditional Catalan food, this restaurant prides itself on its incredible presentation. The menu includes flavors from all around the world, as well as innovative techniques. Mirazur, Menton, France With two Michelin stars and its setting above the Mediterranean Sea, this restaurant offers amazing views along with its list of food. The restaurant includes French, Mediterranean and European cuisine that challenges all the senses. Customers said that they felt the restaurant deserved to be rated three-star. B When“Rise of the Planet of the Apes”was first shown to the public last month, a group of excited animal activists gathered on Hollywood Boulevard. But they werenˈt there to throw red paint on fur-coat-wearing film stars. Instead, one activist, dressed in a full-body monkey suit, had arrived with a sign praising the filmmakers:“Thanks for not using real apes (猿)!” The creative team behind“Apes”used motion-capture (动作捕捉) technology to create digitalized animals, spending tens of millions of dollars on technology that records an actorˈs performance and later processes it with computer graphics to create a final image (图像). In this case, one of a realistic-looking ape. Yet“Apes”is more exception than the rule. In fact, Hollywood has been hot on live animals lately. Already, a number of films, including“Water for Elephants,”“The Hangover Part Ⅱ”and “Zookeeper,”have drawn the anger of activists who say the creatures acting in them havenˈt been treated properly. In some cases, itˈs not so much the treatment of the animals on set in the studio that has activists worried; itˈs the off-set training and living conditions that are raising concerns. However, to many, poetry can be considered a dying art in a world filled with technology and more advanced ways of conveying messages of art and beauty. World Poetry Day aims to encourage people to appreciate the sentiment (情感) that poetry can create, forming meaningful relationships and expanding one's mind with regard to history and culture. It takes place every year to promote the teaching of poetry, as well as the publishing, writing, and reading of this form of writing around the world. It was declared by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) in 1999 and they stated that their purpose for creating this day was "supporting linguistic diversity through poetic expression and increasing the opportunity for endangered languages to be heard". There are lots of exciting ways that you can celebrate World Poetry Day. Rather than reading a poem, why not watch a poetry reading? Thanks to YouTube, we have access to all sorts of videos today, and so it should not be difficult to find a poetry reading that interests you. The live recital of a poem, especially from the author who has written it, is extremely powerful. It takes the depth of meaning of the words to a whole new level. We would recommend taking a look at readings from the likes of Hera Lindsay Bird and Jay Bernard. They're pretty incredible! If you have children, World Poetry Day is the perfect opportunity for you to increase their awareness of this literary form and show them how much fun and exciting poetry can be. After all, not all poems are serious! Poems can make us laugh, especially those that use clever wordplay and puns (双关). You can find lots of great books of poems that have been specifically designed for children. We would recommend Roger McGough's Poetry Pie, which features more than 50 poems that will make your child laugh. 8. Why is poetry considered a dying art by some people according to the text? A.
