Mack’s journey around the world lasted five months and he flew across 52 countries in total. His record-breaking flight began in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, on 23 March, 2022. C In today’s world, cultural heritage—a term Yale University President Peter Salovey referred to as “the record of humanity”—is increasingly under attack by threats ranging from climate change, theft, mass tourism, and war.
