It's the exercise for students of Mianyang Foreign Languages Experimental School in Sichuan province. "Sichuan Opera is a local opera, and it is now facing a gap in inheritance (传承). Therefore, we cooperated with Mianyang Intangible Cultural Heritage Center to create a simple and easy-to-learn Sichuan Opera exercise," said Shen Junhua, who is responsible for organizing the school's exercise between classes. According to Shen, this new type of exercise has been practised since 2017 and has been popular among students. When students enroll, they will spend several weeks practising. At present, almost all of the students and teachers have mastered it. "In fact, we had hardly heard of Sichuan Opera before teachers taught us how to do the Sichuan Opera exercise," said Li Yangwenwen, who also joined the school's Sichuan Opera club out of interest. "It's very different from normal exercises. After practising it, we found it very beautiful and became interested in it. Now, almost all of the students look forward to our daily exercise time and feel excited to do it." "By combining opera with routine exercise, the daily class activity allows students to understand and appreciate Sichuan Opera's culture," Shen said. After years of continuous efforts to spread the seeds of traditional culture, the younger generation is finally catching on. 21 . What's the main purpose of creating the Sichuan Opera exercise for students? A. To build up their body. B. To enrich their spare time. C. To complete research projects. D. To promote the local culture. 22. What's Li Yangwenwen's attitude toward the Sichuan Opera exercise? A. Doubtful. B. Critical. C. Positive. D. Unconcerned. 23. What can we infer from the last paragraph? A. The Sichuan Opera exercise is popular across the country. B. It takes time and efforts to spread traditional culture to younger generation. C. It's the youth's responsibility to create their own traditions. D. The school will create more activities with local features. B I'd gone snowboarding in France with my little brother, and what we lacked in skill was made up for in enthusiasm. That day, fresh snow had been falling, and we were in high spirits. We stopped near the top of an off-path section that went through forests. I let my brother disappear into the tress ahead, figuring I would soon catch up. I began to pick up speed when I was suddenly thrown off balance. Just as I was regaining my control, I ran into the trunk of a large tree. It was like hitting a solid wall. The pain was instant. I knew immediately that my back was broken and quickly realized the situation could get very serious. Nobody would be coming past. There was no phone signal. It was snowing and cold. If I waited, I would probably be rescued finally. But the chance of freezing to death before that happened was too high for me to risk staying put. I tried to stand but fell down and almost blacked out with pain. I managed to get the board off from my feet and moved it under my stomach so I was lying on it. I faced down the mountain and used the board to slowly drag and slide my body down the tree-lined slope(斜坡). It took about two hours before a skier found me and I got help. The mountain rescue team came, with my brother arriving shortly afterwards. I couldn't feel my hands or my toes from the cold, but the relief at knowing I was safe was massive. A helicopter took me to the hospital. I had broken one of my backbones, so I had an operation where the doctors inserted plates. Words failed to describe the constant pain, but it wasn't as bad as seeing the pain and worry I put my family through. But I was lucky. Gradually, I was able to walk, then swim, then cycle and then run. I haven't been back to the slopes yet, but it might happen someday - I will, however, be sticking to the paths. 24. Why did the author decide to slide down the slope by himself rather than wait to be rescued? A. He suffered only slight injuries. B. He was fully aware of the risks of waiting. C. He wanted to catch up with his brother. D. He preferred to challenge himself. 25. How did the author feel about what his family went through after the accident? A. Regretful. B. Delighted. C. Disappointed. D. Annoyed. 26. What will the author probably do after he fully recovers? A. Never go snowboarding with his brother. B. Receive professional training before he goes snowboarding again. C. Pay more attention to safety issues when snowboarding. D. Replace snowboarding with other activities like swimming and cycling. C Though the Tokyo Olympic Games drew to a close on Aug 8 , the public is still watching the athletes. Their outfits and the cutting-edge technologies that helped them in the competition have aroused people's interest. Su Bingtian, the first Chinese sprinter (短跑运动员) to reach an Olympic final, has owed his breakthrough to scientific training. "It takes Su 47 steps to run 100 meters. Each step counts," Liang Dong, a member of Su's training team, told Shenzhen Evening news. "Randy Huntington, Su's American coach and a biomechanics (生物力学) expert in track and field,
